Graduation is so weird. I graduated almost a month ago and I still think about how suddenly it happened. It’s like one day you’re counting down the days until you graduate and then you’re sitting in your chair watching the keystone speaker mess up your school’s name and then you’re shaking your principal’s hand and then you sit down again and you think about the fact that you actually graduated.
The person sitting next to you, the person you were best friends with during your freshmen and sophomore years of high school, makes a joke about wanting to run out of the ceremony with the diploma.
It doesn’t hit you that you’re probably never going to be in the same room with all of these 122 people you’ve grown up with. It still doesn’t hit you, a month later, writing a post on tumblr.
College excitement is the only thing going through my mind. The extra job, the dealing with my grumpy parents, not having free time- it’s all worth it. 1.5 months and I’ll officially be a UGA freshman!
never been so excited to be a freshman lol
All I want to do this summer is play video games and drink Arizona and read books and exercise and eat healthy and take care of myself, but now i’m stuck working two jobs with barely any time to even just chill.
